Floating Market

More than 40 years ago, when I first visited Bangkok, one of the most impressive tourist attraction for me is the floating market. At that time, Bangkok's floating market is located at around Wat Arun. Hundreds of traders selling wares from small boats that rowed quietly milled around the area. This was indeed the market to meet the everyday needs of local residents.

From Bangkok Sidewalk

Back to set foot in the city of Bangkok, after several months, at first glance does not seem there is something new. Heat, humidity, traffic, jam, and the hustle and bustle is still the same. Indeed the number of tourists, especially whites milling around on the sidewalk is not as much as usual. And that's only one difference that can be seen with the eye.
